This tuition trip is the perfect way to kickstart your 2023 golf season! The party size of this tuition trip has been kept deliberately small for maximum attention to your game of golf and as a result there are only 8 places available to accompany Rupert.
Opening in 1966, Penina was the first golf course to open on the Algarve and as such remains the “spiritual” home of golf in the region. Designed by Sir Henry Cotton, the Championship course has been a regular venue of the Portuguese Open on the DP World Tour and remains one of the most popular golf courses in Europe. Complementing the Championship course is the Resort course. Shorter in length, the 9 greens and 18 tees is a good test of golf and challenges the short game of the best of golfer. The practice facilities at the resort are world class and perfect to hone every aspect of your game.
On-site to these two golf courses is the luxury 5* Penina hotel. Recently refurbished to the highest of standards, the hotel has retained it’s original charm, elegance and character and has been voted “Portugal’s Leading Golf Resort”
Spaces available are based on a Bed & Breakfast board basis, one evening dinner onsite is included staying in a single room. Please enquire for a twin room price.
Evening meals (not included) will be booked at local restaurants in the nearby towns of Alvor, Lagos and Portimao to sample and enjoy traditional Mediterranean cuisine and fine wine.

Frequently Asked Questions
I’m interested in joining the holiday. Do I need to pay a deposit?
Yes – a £75 per person deposit payable to Golf Escapes (our official Travel Partner) is required to secure a place with the balance due 3 months prior to the date of travel. Should the holiday not run this deposit will be refunded in full back to you. Once your deposit is paid you will issued a confirmation invoice by email with details of how to pay your balance.
Are flights included?
No – at this early stage we recommend NOT booking any flights until we have reached our required minimum numbers for the holiday to proceed. Once we know the holiday is going ahead we will contact you with the chosen flight details.
Are the arranged return airport and golf transfers included?
Yes – although the return airport transfer will be based on our chosen flights. The transfer time from Faro Airport to Penina Hotel & Golf Resort is circa 40 minutes.
Are golf buggies, electric or pull trolleys available?
Yes – these are not included in the price but can be pre-booked in advance (subject to availability)
Is it possible to stay in a twin/double room”?

If I wanted to stay on for extra nights and play more golf, could this be arranged?
