Murcia
Located in the south east corner of Spain, the region has a semi-arid, mild climate even in winter, with a yearly average of more than 18 degrees. The golf resort is within easy access of the new Región de Murcia International Airport that opened in 2019, replacing Murcia–San Javier Airport as the transfer time is less than half an hour.
Accommodation will be at the stunning Ona Mar Menor 5* hotel that is adjacent to the championship golf course.
There’s a choice of restaurants on-site (other options are available just outside the resort) that serve international cuisine to enjoy. The Japanese restaurant Mizu offers a comprehensive menu, La Fontano is an Italian restaurant and Nomad serves a variety of Mediterranean dishes. Post round drinks can be enjoyed at the Golf Clubhouse of the The Clover Irish Tavern. For meat lovers there is also the grilled restaurant Steakhouse Woodfire.
Mar Menor Golf Course
Originally a nine hole golf course designed by Dave Thomas, the course was extended in 2009 by world renowned golf architect Jack Nicklaus into a spectacular 18 hole championship golf course.
Water comes into play around this excellent layout. There is a stunning lake (pictured below) around holes 12, 14 and 15 dubbed “The Bear Trap” that is particularly impressive!
Across the golf course, players can admire the surrounding backdrop of the neighboring mountain range. The course, surrounded by a citrus orchard, spans out across 59 hectares of land filled with natural fauna and flora and offers golfer’s a beautiful location to enjoy golf under the Spanish sun!
Golf Coaching
There are 8 hours group golf coaching (2 hours per day) included in this exciting holiday package plus on-course coaching and feedback as you navigate your way around the golf course. A perfect way to start your 2025 golf season!

Do I need to pay a deposit?
Yes – a £75 per person deposit payable to Golf Escapes (our official Travel Partner) is required to secure a place with the balance due 3 months prior to the date of travel.
Are the price of flights included?
No – at this early stage we recommend NOT booking any flights until we have reached our required minimum numbers for the holiday to proceed. Once we know the holiday is going ahead we will contact you with the chosen flight details.
Are the arranged return airport and golf transfers included?
Yes – although the return airport transfer will be based on our chosen flights.
Are golf buggies, electric or pull trolleys available?
