Ben Lovell PGA

Ben became a full qualified PGA Professional in 1999.

He has held the posts of Head Professional at Wildwood Golf Club, Gatton Manor and Director of Golf at Cranleigh Golf & County Club.

After taking a break from teaching, Ben is delighted to get back to coaching and excited to return to Holtye Golf Club where he was a member in the 1990’s.

“I have fond memories of the club and won the Club Championship in 1994. I would rate it rates as one of the best 9 hole courses I’ve played”

Ben has taught at all levels and his theory is to keep it simple and easy to understand and let his pupil use their natural ability to maximise their full potential by developing a repetitive swing.

He also thinks that course management is vital and likes to include this in his coaching.

Ben has caddied on the DP World Tour (formerly the European Tour) and will offer “on course” lessons in addition to lessons on the driving range, putting green and short game area. to help improve your strategy, course management and club selection.

Ben is really looking forward to meeting the members and getting involved in the club.

He will join Rupert and Paul teaching under the banner of Holtye Golf Academy.

You’ll see Ben covering the shop on Wednesday’s and his online teaching diary will shortly go live to offer lessons on Saturday’s and Sunday’s.

Ben teaches under the banner of Holtye Golf Academy offering individual lessons and group coaching to all abilities and ages.
